HEARTHWISE Terms of Service
Last updated: October 4, 2026
Welcome to HEARTHWISE. These Terms of Service govern your use of our website and your purchase and use of our digital products. By accessing our website or purchasing a product from HEARTHWISE, you agree to these Terms.
1. About HEARTHWISE
HEARTHWISE provides digital cookbooks, recipes, educational food content, and related digital products through our online store.
Our products are delivered digitally. Unless specifically stated otherwise on a product page, no physical product will be shipped.
2. Digital Products
When you purchase a digital product from HEARTHWISE, you receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use the product for your personal, non-commercial use.
Purchasing a digital product does not transfer ownership of the underlying intellectual property to you.
3. Personal Use & Copyright
HEARTHWISE digital products, including cookbooks, written content, recipes, design elements, graphics and other original materials, are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
Unless expressly authorized by HEARTHWISE, you may not reproduce, redistribute, resell, publish, upload, share, sublicense or commercially exploit our digital products.
You may download and store your purchased copy on your personal devices and may print a copy for your own personal use.
4. Orders & Payment
Prices are displayed in the currency shown at checkout. Depending on your location and Shopify's available localization features, prices may be displayed or processed in a different currency.
You agree to provide accurate and complete information when making a purchase.
Applicable taxes may be calculated and collected at checkout where required.
We reserve the right to cancel or refuse an order where reasonably necessary, including in cases of suspected fraud, unauthorized transactions, pricing errors or misuse of our services.
5. Digital Delivery
Purchased digital products are normally made available electronically following successful payment.
You are responsible for providing a valid email address and maintaining access to the device, software and internet connection necessary to access your purchase.
If you experience a problem accessing or downloading your purchase, contact hearthwise2@gmail.com and we will make reasonable efforts to resolve the issue.
6. Refunds & Cancellations
Purchases of digital products are subject to our Return & Refund Policy.
Because digital products can be accessed or downloaded shortly after purchase, purchases are generally final once the digital product has been delivered, accessed or downloaded, except where refunds, cancellations or withdrawal rights are required by applicable law.
Nothing in these Terms limits consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded or waived.
7. Health & Nutrition Disclaimer
HEARTHWISE cookbooks, recipes, nutritional information and other content are provided for general informational and educational purposes only.
Our content is not medical advice and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease or medical condition.
References to heart-conscious eating, cholesterol, nutrition, ingredients or similar health-related subjects should not be interpreted as a guarantee of a particular health outcome.
Nutritional values provided in our products are estimates and may vary depending on ingredients, brands, quantities, preparation methods and serving sizes.
If you have high cholesterol, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, food allergies, dietary restrictions, take medication, or have another health concern, consult a physician, registered dietitian or other appropriately qualified healthcare professional regarding your individual circumstances.
8. Food Allergies & Food Safety
Recipes may contain or come into contact with common allergens. It is your responsibility to review ingredients and determine whether a recipe is appropriate for you or anyone for whom you prepare food.
You are responsible for following appropriate food handling, storage, preparation and cooking practices.
9. Accuracy of Information
We make reasonable efforts to provide accurate and useful information. However, we do not guarantee that every recipe, nutritional estimate, description or other piece of content will be completely error-free or suitable for every individual.
We may correct errors or update our website and digital products when appropriate.
10. Website Use
You agree not to use our website or products for unlawful purposes, attempt to interfere with the operation or security of the website, obtain unauthorized access to our systems, or use our content in a manner that infringes our intellectual-property rights or the rights of others.
11. Third-Party Services
Our store may use third-party platforms and service providers, including Shopify and payment-processing services.
Your use of certain third-party services may also be subject to those providers' terms and privacy policies.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, HEARTHWISE will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses resulting from your use of our website or digital products.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability or consumer rights where doing so would be prohibited by applicable law.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to our products, business practices or legal requirements.
The current version will be made available on our website with an updated effective date. Your continued use of the website following an update is subject to the version then in effect.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the applicable laws of Ontario, Canada, and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without limiting any mandatory consumer-protection rights that may apply to customers in other jurisdictions.
